When I first heard about Cryptocurrency, I had decided that I could not, nor wanted to understand. You hear the stories of people that had invested in it, maybe it was stolen or they lost it on an old computer. It seemed to be a little risky to invest money into. I would say “there is no asset behind it” and “it could disappear any minute.” This may have been the case once, but they are standard responses for people have an opinion, without an education in Cryptocurrency.

Training to be an Astronaut

As I became a little older, I was looking more into investing. Time seemed to be slipping away and I found that if I wanted my retirement to be a little more comfortable, I would need to be more proactive in arranging my assets and liabilities. I found that investing in the stock market seemed too difficult. I saved money and invested in a few companies but I found that the minimum amounts you had to spend, the brokerage fees you had to pay, the paperwork and effort involved was too much. If I wanted to buy a single share in Tesla it would cost $753.00 (at the time of writing), I would also have to convert my Australian dollar (AUD) into American dollars (USD) , I would pay brokerage of $20.00 just to buy the share. I do think investing in the stock market is important, but you have to have money to spend to make more of it.

Launching into the Unknown

As the Crypto-Verse grew in the shadows it became a viable place to invest your money. As I ventured into the unknown I felt like an Astronaut in the void of space, floating away and could not make heads and tails of the universe I was in. There was so much information and new terms and programs, structures and functions to understand. Once I had taken a few steps, I learnt that although there may ben more perceived risk in Cryptocurrency, I was able to invest small amounts on fractions of a Currency Token I could buy 0.00000001 of a bitcoin (also known as a Satoshi). I was able to transfer funds into my chosen exchange in seconds as well as convert AUD into USD. I was able to buy and sell 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

I am, you are and everybody else that is has or will be starting their journey into Cryptocurrency. The blank mind is where you start in the Crypto-Verse, untethered into the vast expanse. I hope to assist you through learning what is required to navigate through the information overload. I want to help you can take your first step and you may find something that “goes to the moon!”
